My education as a professional dancer is based on independent studies, which, in a dynamical way, have been linked to my own artistic development.

Formally I studied Art History and Philosophy at the university of FU, Berlin for three years. In the year of 1996 I got a study grant from the city of Berlin to go to US for workshops with Joan Skinner in Seattle, Merce Cunningham Studio, Movement Research and Graham Studios NYC. ZKM in Karlsruhe offered me a 6 months residency for research on new media and music and acoustics related to dance in 2003/2004.' www.christinaciupke.com
